PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)
PrEP is a medication that helps prevent HIV. It’s an option for people of all genders and sexual orientations, and for anyone who wants extra protection. If you’re curious about PrEP or think it might be right for you, our care team is happy to talk it through and support you with ongoing care.

DoxyPEP
Doxy-PEP is an option that can help lower the chance of getting some bacterial STIs, like chlamydia and syphilis, after sex. It involves taking a dose of doxycycline within a short time after possible exposure. It’s not for everyone, but our care team can talk with you about whether Doxy-PEP fits your needs and help you use it safely.

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)
PEP is a short-term medication that can help prevent HIV after a possible exposure. It works best when started as soon as possible ideally within 72 hours. Our team can guide you through starting PEP and making sure you get the follow-up care you need.

Important Tips
-
Sexual health screenings and confidential counseling services are available in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
-
Individuals in need of additional care (including chronic conditions) can receive immediate referrals for treatment and follow-up services. We also certified and trained to provide educational information to our patients that focused on prevention, awareness, and overall wellness.
-
Our team is able to initiate ART (antiretroviral therapy) on the same day for individuals newly diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Care is provided by Dr. Frederied Rivera, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, AAHIVS, and Kevin Torres Villega, APRN, FNP-BC, AAHIVS, who are both specialized providers recognized and credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
-
All test results are strictly confidential and will not be shared by phone, text, email, or any other method. HIV/AIDS results, in particular, must be reviewed in person to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and to protect patient privacy.
We encourage routine testing for anyone who is sexually active, has multiple partners, believes they may have been exposed to HIV or an STI, or simply wants reassurance and peace of mind.
Caring for your sexual health is an important part of your overall wellness. Regular screening helps you stay informed, take control of your health, and support our mission to “Thrive Now, Live Healthier.”
