Though we started our journey in Texas, our roots are proudly from Puerto Rico. At Everest ThriveCare, we bring our culture, passion and dedication to every patient we serve, sharing a piece of our heritage with the community we love.

Our Story
​Everest ThriveCare was inspired by our years of experience in the healthcare system. Through this journey, we developed not just clinical skills, but a deep understanding of what truly matters at the bedside: empathy, careful observation, and genuine human connection.

We’ve learned that every patient has unique needs, and that the best care comes from truly listening, acknowledging, and responding with compassion. We believe that everyone deserves the highest quality care regardless of their background or story.

Meet The Team
Dr. Frederied Rivera, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, AAHIVS is the founder and owner of Everest ThriveCare and a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of healthcare experience. He began his career in emergency medicine in 2008 and has since built a diverse clinical background that includes primary care, neurology, and the treatment and long-term management of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections.

Dr. Rivera earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Ana G. Mendez University and his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University. His advanced training also includes aesthetic medicine, neuromodulator (Botox) treatments, and medical weight loss management allowing him to offer comprehensive care that supports both health and confidence.

A proud native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Rivera is fluent in English and Spanish and is passionate about creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. His approach blends evidence-based medicine with compassion, personalization, and trust.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Rivera enjoys the outdoors, traveling, water sports, staying active, and spending quality time with his family and his two Goldendoodles.
