Plan B(e Safe): PrEP, PEP & Doxy-PEP

PrEP, PEP, and Doxy-PEP are simple medication options that can help protect you from HIV and some STIs. Whether you’re planning ahead or had a recent concern, we’re here to help you find the right option.

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)

PrEP is a medication that helps prevent HIV. It’s an option for people of all genders and sexual orientations, and for anyone who wants extra protection. If you’re curious about PrEP or think it might be right for you, our care team is happy to talk it through and support you with ongoing care.

DoxyPEP

Doxy-PEP is an option that can help lower the chance of getting some bacterial STIs, like chlamydia and syphilis, after sex. It involves taking a dose of doxycycline within a short time after possible exposure. It’s not for everyone, but our care team can talk with you about whether Doxy-PEP fits your needs and help you use it safely.

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)

PEP is a short-term medication that can help prevent HIV after a possible exposure. It works best when started as soon as possible ideally within 72 hours. Our team can guide you through starting PEP and making sure you get the follow-up care you need.
